Genomika is a web application development company based in Gdynia, Poland.
We specialise in the development of data gathering and analysis applications for use in scientific research and business. Our applications are cloud based solutions with support for multiple users and sites. In our software design process we emphasise the issues of security and ease of use.

We believe that user experience is a crucial aspect of any software system. We pay great attention to making our software intuitive and user friendly. The web is ready for great interfaces and we intend to prove it.
Technology
We employ a host of advanced programming technologies on both the server and client side of our web applications. On the client side, we build custom AJAX driven interfaces in JavaScript, using jQuery, Ext and our own HyperWidgets library. On the server side, we like to use Python with the Django MVC framework, or PHP in combination with the Drupal content management system.
Bioinformatics
Genomika is involved in a number of research projects in the area of molecular biology and medicine. Our aim is to design bioinformatic tools which will be easy to use by researchers without extensive computational training. There is currently a multitude of software solutions available for bioinformatic analysis, but many of these require a familiarity with the Unix environment unavailable to most biologists and doctors. The aim of our work is to simplify these processes by providing an easy to use interface to bioinformatic tools.
We have specialist expertise in multi-platform microarray data processing, machine learning, data mining and analysis of transcriptional regulatory networks.
We are currently working with the Medical University of Gdańsk, Poland and the Institute of Medical Genetics at the University of Glasgow, UK.
